Open Cell Spray Foam Insulation

Our open cell foam insulation is a half pound density foam with an R-value that ranges from 3.9 to 4.2. One set of open cell foam yeilds approximately 16,000 board feet. Open cell foam provides excellent thermal insulating and air barrier properties. In addition, open cell foam is incredibly effective as a sound dampener, absorbing mid to high frequency sound. The cellular structure of open cell foam is created to provide air isolation and a versatile range of R-values, which results in the foam being more energy efficient, a general improvement in air quality, and an overall increase of comfort.

It is important to note that open cell spray foam does require a thermal barrier, or ignition barrier, after it is installed in order to comply with the requirements of the International Building Codes.
